About Me

Bio

Ms. Hay has taught First Grade in Franklin Lakes since 1988. She received her BS in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from William Paterson University and her MS from Long Island University in Educational Technology. She is also a trained Family Math facilitator.   

Teaching Philosophy

     First Grade is an exciting and dynamic journey filled with learning.  This year, the First Grade Teachers hope to bring to your children a passion for learning.  Beyond teaching learners the academics, we wish to teach learners persistence and perseverance so that they have the tools to tackle all of life's challenges.  We want students to learn that hard work will help them to achieve their goals and enthusiasm makes all the work fun.
