Mrs. Rotella has been teaching in Franklin Lakes since 1997. She graduated from The College of New Jersey (formerly known as "Trenton State"), with a BS in English/Elementary Education. She started her teaching career in Franklin Lakes as a substitute teacher, and then as a kindergarten teacher for five years, before making the move to first grade. Mrs. Rotella spent the next 19 years in First Grade before returning to Kindergarten. She has completed her master's work and thirty additional credits, obtaining a degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy.

Mrs. Rotella truly loves working with her students and their families. She loves hearing their stories, seeing their creativity, and tracing their intellectual growth! Every day presents a new learning opportunity...for Mrs. Rotella and her students!

During her time outside of school, Mrs. Rotella enjoys hiking, reading, and being with family and friends. She loves playing with her dog Duke, a rambunctious English Springer Spaniel. Most of all, alongside her husband Jamie, she loves being a parent to their four wonderful daughters.

This year, the Kindergarten Teachers hope to bring to your children a passion for learning. Beyond teaching them the academics, they wish to teach them persistence and perseverance so that they have the tools to tackle all of life's challenges. They want them to learn that hard work will help them achieve their goals, and enthusiasm makes all work fun.
